AI Marker (“the App”) is a Shopify application developed and operated by Lederly (“we”, “us”) that helps merchants review store images and manage AI-disclosure badges. This policy explains what information the App collects when a merchant installs it, and how that information is used.

Information we collect

When a merchant installs the App, we collect and store:

• Store information — your shop’s domain name.
• Access credentials — an OAuth access token that lets the App communicate with your store’s Admin API on your behalf. We never see or store your Shopify account password.
• Product and file image data — image URLs, filenames, alt text, and associated product titles, for images you choose to scan into the App for review.
• Badge configuration — the disclosure badge type, text, and language translations you create or edit.
• Staff account details — the name and email Shopify provides for the staff member who installs the App, used only to identify who is using the App within your team.

Information we do not collect

The App does not collect, store, or process any personal information about your store’s customers or shoppers. It has no access to, and never requests, customer, order, or payment data.

How we use information

We use the information above solely to operate the App: to display your store’s images for review, to save the disclosure badge choices you make, and to render your approved badges on your storefront.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with:

• Shopify, to operate within your store via the Admin API.
• Our hosting and database providers, used solely to run the App and store its data on our behalf — they do not use your data for their own purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as the App is installed on your store. If you uninstall the App, your session is deleted immediately, and all remaining data associated with your store is permanently deleted within 48 hours, in line with Shopify’s data protection requirements. You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time by contacting us below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled infrastructure, to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
